Some might say that West Seattle is the last frontier of our ever changing city. Take a quick drive down Admiral or California and you’ll notice pieces of “old” Seattle when everything moved just a little bit slower before the tech boom of companies like Amazon and Google. Whether you’re a native or a transplant, there’s a little bit of something for everybody in one of Greater Seattle’s oldest communities.

Taking a break from the city is quick and easy thanks to resources like the West Seattle Water Taxi. After you board be sure to have your phone ready for Instagram and Snapchat worthy views as you bid adieu to downtown.

Consider taking a ferry ride over to Vashon, the ride over will cost you but the return trip is free!
